Some of the Famous Mobile Games

Among Us

Among Us is a multiplayer game where between four and 10 players are dropped onto an alien spaceship. Each player is designated a private role as a “crewmate” or “impostor.” Players can be voted off the ship, so each game becomes one of survival: Successfully vote off the impostors, or complete all your tasks to win.

Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans is an online multiplayer game in which players form communities called clans, train troops, and attack other players to earn resources. There are four currencies or resources in the game. Gold and elixir can be used to build and upgrade defenses and traps that protect the player’s village from other players’ attacks and to build and upgrade buildings. Elixir and dark elixir are also used to train and upgrade troops and spells. Gems are the premium currency. Attacks are rated on a three-star scale and have a maximum timed length of three minutes.

The game also features a pseudo-single-player campaign in which the player can attack a series of fortified goblin villages and earn gold, elixir (and dark elixir in higher levels).

To perform an upgrade, a free builder is needed. The game starts with two builders, but the player can have up to five builders through buying them with gems and even a sixth by getting and unlocking the OTTO Hut in Builder Base 9.

Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go is a free smartphone app that combines gaming with the real world. The game uses location tracking and mapping technology to create an ‘augmented reality’ where players catch and train Pokémon characters in real locations.

Angry Birds Series

Angry Birds is a Finnish video game franchise created and owned by company Rovio Entertainment. Inspired by the Flash game Crush the Castle, the franchise started in late 2009 with the release of Angry Birds for iOS, and later for Android and Symbian devices. Its unexpected success saved Rovio from bankruptcy, and predicted the release of many other video games, most of them produced by Rovio themselves, to this day.

Angry Birds stars a flock of exceptionally rare birds- the Angry Birds- inhabiting Piggy Island. Their main task is to protect the three eggs from the Piggy kingdom, a monarchy of green-colored pigs, governed by King Pig Smooth Cheeks.

The Angry Birds franchise has been incredibly successful since the release of the original Angry Birds; in early 2018, the series had a combined tally of over four billion downloads (over one billion of them being from the original game alone) across all platforms. The success of the first game led to the production of more games, alongside shows, comics, and films.

Subway Surfers

Subway Surfers is a single player mobile gaming app and website developed by Kiloo. The aim of the game is to outrun a train inspector while dodging oncoming trains, barriers and other objects. Collecting coins on the way gives players advantages such as hover boards and high scores.
